Senior Medical Director

TREG/Gene Editing. Autoimmune Tx. Forward funded company. Remote role.

Intelisci invites MD Rheumatologists or Gastroenterologists to embrace the role of Senior Medical Director.

In the vanguard of medical innovation, where cell and genetic engineering are establishing transformative solutions, our client is uniquely positioned.

Leveraging the deep therapeutic potential of regulatory T cells (Tregs) and combining it with groundbreaking gene-editing techniques. These Tregs, present ubiquitously across tissues, are the immune system's gatekeepers, preventing unwanted immune responses and ensuring a harmonious immune equilibrium.

Gene-Edited Treg Platform: Not content with the natural prowess of Tregs, our client has pushed the envelope by applying cutting-edge gene editing to these cells. This enhances their function, specificity, and therapeutic potential, solidifying their position as leaders in this innovative space.

Comprehensive Treg Therapies: Their advanced Treg therapies are not mere iterations of existing treatments. They integrate a plethora of therapeutic effects into one potent package, crafted to tackle the intricate challenges of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.

Targeted Clinical Pipeline: With their deep understanding of autoimmune diseases and their commitment to addressing them, our client is diligently building a clinical pipeline. This pipeline, rooted in their pioneering Treg platform, seeks to target and potentially revolutionize the treatment of various autoimmune diseases.

Restoring Immune Harmony: Beyond Tregs, our client is exploring novel biologic therapies that recalibrate the immune system. By selectively depleting T effector cells (Teffs), which are often linked to immune imbalances and unchecked inflammation, they are creating a comprehensive approach to restore immune balance.

Embark on a journey with us as we support our client in their quest to redefine the frontiers of medical science, merging gene editing with Treg therapies to forge an unprecedented path in treating autoimmune diseases.

This pivotal position requires a seasoned medical expert ready to lead in both clinical trial design and overarching medical and technical leadership.

Principal Duties:

  • Strategic Clinical Development: Direct clinical development programs, emphasizing strategic progression from trial inception to completion while providing a strong medical and technical foundation.

  • Medical Department Functions: Strengthen the medical functions of the department, ardently supporting new approvals and playing an instrumental role in crafting regulatory reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations.

  • Divisional Strategy Participation: Engage actively with divisional strategic teams, contributing to the identification of new therapeutic indications for current products and pioneering new therapeutic areas.

  • Expertise Sharing & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Impart medical technical expertise to Business Development and Portfolio Management for the identification of promising partnerships and lifecycle options. Collaborate seamlessly with counterparts in areas such as regulatory affairs, research, drug safety, and clinical operations.

  • Clinical Research Strategy & Execution: Inject valuable insights into the clinical research strategy and lead clinical trials across different stages, from early-phase studies to those involving marketed therapeutics.

  • Independence & Leadership: The Senior Medical Director will work with significant autonomy, adeptly leading multiple projects and offering strategic insights that mold the goals, initiatives, and programs of the function.

For the visionary MD Rheumatologist or Gastroenterologist, this role presents a remarkable chance to pioneer advancements, inspire innovation, and make a lasting impact in the transformative realm of Treg therapies.
