Job Summary:
Intelisci, a specialist executive search firm focusing on biotechnology, has been engaged by our client to identify an experienced and dynamic Chief Business Officer (CBO). The CBO will lead the licensing and business development activities for the siRNA drug pipeline in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, a proven track record in business development, and expertise in licensing and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall business development strategy for the company’s siRNA drug pipeline in the U.S. market.
Licensing and Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage licensing opportunities and strategic partnerships to maximize the commercial potential of the siRNA assets.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape in CNS, metabolic, cardiovascular, and vaccine sectors.
Deal Structuring: Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of licensing agreements, collaborations, and partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners, investors, and industry leaders.
Regulatory and Compliance: Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements and industry standards in all business development activities.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing business development team to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or a related field (PhD, MBA, or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, licensing, and strategic partnerships within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Expertise: Deep understanding of siRNA technology and therapeutic areas including CNS, metabolic diseases, cardiovascular conditions, and vaccines.
Track Record: Proven success in negotiating and closing licensing agreements and partnerships with major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver results.
Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently to meet with partners and stakeholders.
